Established in 1994 as Roma Stockfeeds on the Aisthorpe family farm ‘Bon Haven’ near Roma, Top Country was founded by Stephen and Natalie Aisthorpe in partnership with Stephen’s parents, Rex and Betty. From its humble beginnings, the company has evolved into an innovator in livestock nutrition and feeding solutions.
Over the years, Top Country has continuously strived to meet the changing needs of the agricultural community. From its inception, the company’s core values of integrity, innovation, and experience have driven its growth and success. Top Country’s commitment to excellence has led to ground breaking developments in feeding systems, such as the iconic Top Feeda, which has become a staple on properties nationwide.
In 2021, Top Country expanded further with the acquisition of Smarter Rural, solidifying its position as a comprehensive provider of livestock solutions. This strategic move allowed the company to offer a range of covered cattle, horse, sheep, and goat feeders in various sizes, innovative fly control systems and other feeding accessories.
As part of its commitment to innovation, Top Country introduced the Ration Runner, a mobile bulk delivery system designed to distribute licks and rations to cattle feeders efficiently. This innovation not only addressed the need for efficient supplement delivery but also showcased the company’s commitment to reducing environmental impact.
Top Country’s dedication to providing high-quality feeding systems goes beyond product offerings. The company’s visionary approach led to the acquisition of Soya Feeds and the establishment of Smarter Nutrition, ensuring a consistent supply of raw ingredients during drought and product scarcity. This move not only safeguarded their stock feed manufacturing operations but also catered to a wide range of customers, from individual farmers to professional feedlot operations.
