We offer three categories of supplements, Drylick rations, Grain rations and Production rations, all of which are designed to be self-limiting.
Drylick Rations
Our drylick rations are an extremely popular supplement range, featuring intake rates of 200-300g per head per day. Drylick rations are designed to increase pasture utilisation through a balanced combination of minerals, energy and protein. Using a combination of protein meals and non-protein nitrogen (NPN) sources, such as urea, allows for an extended breakdown of protein in the rumen, which aids in the prolonged microbial (rumen bug) activity and energy release. This is a critical process for grazing livestock, as increased microbial activity in the rumen allows for more efficient digestion of pastures, stimulating the animal’s appetite and encouraging them to graze greater distances to consume enough pasture to meet their needs. Top Country offers a range of drylick rations to suit each season.

Grain Rations
Our grain ration range is perfect for finishing or weaning livestock when either pasture quality or quantity is diminishing. Grain based rations can be used to feed a wide range of livestock classes as its high energy content provides more flexibility and improves fat cover and carcass qualities. These rations can be used as complete feeds or as part of a paddock assist program and are designed to be self-limiting to make sure the producer reaches their optimal weight gains whilst keeping in mind fertility and structural soundness.
These rations are scientifically formulated with the correct level of mineral, fibre, protein, and rumen buffers to help minimise the risk of acidosis and bloat associated with the gorging of grain.
Production Rations
Production rations are a combination of drylick and grain and reaps the benefits of both. Productions rations are specifically formulated with a combination of slow breakdown protein meals and low to moderate grain inclusions to assist with achieving improved weight gains on dry standing feeds. The production rations are an ideal option for producers who want to achieve higher weights gains safely. Our production rations are designed to improve the rumen function by stimulating microbial activity and encouraging the breakdown of mature pastures more efficiently.
Our versatile range provides livestock with a balanced inclusion or macro and trace – minerals, protein and energy, which aids in building bone and body frame in young animals, as well as developing muscle and moderate fat deposition. Due to this livestock are turned over quicker than on a drylick alone, but without the intensity of grain-feeding.
